Gray, 29, has a low 90′s fastball that sits around 93. Throws a slider as his out pitch and every once in a while will mix in a curve ball. He seems very David Pauley-ish to me as he gets decent ground ball (51%) rate and an average-ish swing and miss rate (8%).
This is a great low risk move to possibly improve the depth of the bullpen. Gray could end up being effective as a middle reliever or he could just be trash that we throw a long side our curb in a few weeks.
