Garko > Sweeney… spring training numbers mean nothing. Turn a blind eye and say a special prayer that he takes a position within the organization.

When you assume that as of now Garko and Kotchman will be platooning, I think the biggest difference between Garko and Sweeney is ability to play defense. Mike Sweeney gets hurt, a lot, and he just can’t be counted on to platoon at first base all year – and when you cancel the platoon, you lose offensive production against lefties.
