Tigers/DBacks/Yankees impending trade: ”In the seven-player trade, SI.com’s John Heyman reported that the D-Backs would receive right-handers Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy from the Tigers and Yankees, respectively, while the Tigers would get pitchers Max Scherzer and Daniel Schlereth from Arizona and outfielder Austin Jackson and left-hander Phil Coke from New York.” —– MLB.com
The Tigers would be getting a nice haul for the longterm from this deal. Good for Dave Dombrowski. The Yankees are apparently throwing away their future.
Ivan Rodriguez —–> Nationals: For 2 years, 6 million. I like this deal for the Nats. It seems that pitchers love working with Pudge, and who knows, maybe he’ll have a positive impact on a young rotation with some potential (and some Strasburg).
White Sox Sign Mark Teahen: For 3 years, 14 million. I’m not a huge Teahen fan, necessarily, but his contract seems appropriate.
Mariners Do Nothing: Yet. Things will happen. Have patience.
