Petit was one of those SABR vs scouting prospects. Amazing numbers in the minor leagues, but it was all deception– scouts saw nothing in him. Apparently it’s extremely to pick the ball up out of his hand.. hides it real well. But so far he’s not fooling anyone in the big leagues.

Still like the pickup. Decent enough middle reliever or swing man.

Ouch. Well, at least those stats are all in somewhat small sample sizes.
