Hardy to the Twins.
In exchange for centerfielder Carlos Gomez. Fair deal for both sides. I think Gomez has the potential to be a stud.
Damn.

This puts a crimp in the plans to potentially acquire him, assuming the Twins aren’t going to treat him like the M’s did Aaron Heilman.
Well, we’d better get used to our backup plan. Jack Wilson. Jack Wilson is our backup plan. I love you, Jack Zduriencik.

I come in and this is one of the first thing I see in BtB … to say I was shocked is an understatement.
Also Jeremy Hermida heads to the Red Sox … I wonder if they are doubting their ability to resign Jason Bay.
November 6th, 2009 at 11:57 amApparently the Red Sox don’t intend on bringing back Bay haha. This completely sucks ass about Hardy. Obviously everyone knows that I don’t feel as comfortable with Jack Wilson being our backup plan as you guys do. I think it is also pretty apparent that Jack Z didn’t want JJ Hardy or any SS for that matter if it was going to be this easy to get him
November 6th, 2009 at 12:02 pmThis is the first Mariners news I’ve ever found out about by visiting my own blog.
Also, God damn.
November 6th, 2009 at 12:26 pmI wonder at this point with Talent being this undervalued what Jack Zduriencik … btw that is the first time I spelt his name correctly… still had to double check it prior to posting.
November 6th, 2009 at 12:34 pmThat’s a backup plan I’m 100% on board with
November 6th, 2009 at 3:20 pmLooks like Jack Wilson is the man unless he shoots down the 8 million 2 year contract that has been reportedly offered to him.
November 6th, 2009 at 4:01 pmActually, we don’t know what the deal is. All we know is that it’s MORE than the 2/$8m deal that the Brewers offered him. Anything under $6m a year is golden.
November 6th, 2009 at 4:26 pm^you misread.
November 6th, 2009 at 4:27 pmDammit Griffin.
November 6th, 2009 at 4:27 pmNo I didn’t misread, I got it from Rotoworld.com It says that the Mariners reportedly offered him a little bit more then 8 million dollars over two years

November 6th, 2009 at 4:32 pmNow whether or not Rotoworld.com is right, that is beyond me. That’s just the first place I read this
