		<description>There&#039;s no reason to be upset if we end up sticking with Wilson, Chad. Even if we were to exercise his option, which I don&#039;t think we will, his defense alone would be enough to earn every cent of his contract. That being said, a lot of the time, you can get a defense first type of player for cheaper than the standard 4.5 million dollars per win. Shortstop is one of the toughest positions to get value out of in the game, though, and if we can&#039;t land Hardy, we should be happy to have an excellent defensive shortstop, who we aren&#039;t over paying.

He has had some injury issues over the last two seasons, but he isn&#039;t old enough that we should expect that to continue - he&#039;s too young to be entering a full out decline. 

The point is, we could do a lot worse, and if you can&#039;t get your first choice (in this case JJ Hardy), you have to take what you can get, and Jack Wilson is no slouch.</description>
