@ Chad, don't take AFL stats too seriously, Aumont is still really raw and learning how to control his pitches and develop that wicked curve to become a legit #2 pitch, which it's not right now.

He is most likely going to start out at AA again and should he show signs of improvement will most likely get a mid season call up to AAA, I don't think we'll see him at all this coming year.

Jason Churchill gave him a mention in his newest post take a look here (http://prospectinsider.com/view/prospects-of-the-year/)

... and chad ... i have something special just for you.

I would cross-reference players with highest/lowest BABIP with how hard balls are hit and see if there is any co-relation.

That would be an interesting study.

I also would be interested to see if there was a connection between guys that hit the ball hard and high strike out ratios.

I was also thinking about maybe the average speed of a ball by paticular players on Curveballs, sliders, splitters may show some insight to pitch recognition. But that theory is far from conclusive.

There are just a few things...

First to comment on the post Taylor, I really love the post and data collected. You put alot of effort into it and I for one am completely impressed.

But I have to be honest I am not smart enough to really put together a cohesive and correct thought, that can put this data into a postive usage.

But I'll try to think about it anyways, and get back to you.
