Rob Johnson is young, so we can only hope he's going to get better, but I just can't understand the general thought that he's a good defensive catcher. He can't block the ball, he can't catch the ball, and he's inferior at throwing out runners compared to Joh. Also, despite a couple of hot streaks earlier in the season, he's an awful hitter. There's no doubt that Johjima is a major league caliber catcher that plenty of teams would like to have, but unless we're willing to eat almost all of, or all of his contract, we just aren't going to be able to trade him.
