But he's taken himself from a fringy arm to a consistently useful one. The pitchers that are going to get the most out of paying attention to and utilize sabermetrics/pitch fx are the guys that lack the high true talent level. Bannister has focused on getting grounders by basically replacing his 4 seamer with a cutter.. stuff like that. The only pitcher that I know of that has high quality pure stuff that uses pitch f/x and sabermetrics is Max Scherzer. Otherwise, it's the back of the rotation guys trying to up their stock a bit.
